13Biography
Occupation: orfevre ( goldsmith )
Louis-Charles Palin dit Dabonville amassed a considerable fortune, as evidenced by a loan of 3758 books he consented to a dealer in 1763.
According to R. Derome however, there is no conclusive evidence as to whether this person was goldsmith. At best, we know that in 1766 he made repairs on a boiler and cookware belonging to the Hotel-Dieu de Montreal.
He has a silver spoon in the Musee National Des Beaux-Art Du Quebec. Coiler a potage. Made between 1750 and 1770.
[2]Some of his works are exhibited exhibited at the National Museum of Fine Ars Quebec. and the Museum of Fine Arts Canada in Ottawa.
